The amateur art groups of the University of Customs and Finance are known not only in their hometown and in the country, but also far beyond the borders of Ukraine. The management of the educational institution takes care that young people not only study, but also have the opportunity to develop creatively and represent the university at the best venues in Ukraine, and individual teams have the opportunity to demonstrate their creative assets outside their native country.

   Folk dance ensemble «Veselka» (Rainbow) - Grand Prix winner of dance festivals in Barcelona (Spain), Istanbul (Turkey), Bulgaria and Lithuania, laureate of the All-Ukrainian contest of folk choreography named after Pavlo Virsky, multiple winner of the regional student of the year contest.

The head of the ensemble is Zhir Serhiy Ivanovich, who created and has been leading the team for 42 years.

 

  The only group of female drummers in the city of Dnipro - a participant in the festival in the city of Istanbul (Turkey), a multiple laureate of the inter-university artistic amateur festival "Student Spring", a participant in celebrations dedicated to the celebration of events in the city.

Enrollment

How to enroll

The University of Customs and Finance (hereinafter – UCF) is an equal opportunity institution, and international students are admitted regardless of race, sex, native language or religion.

Foreign citizens, who have appropriate documents on education and the knowledge of the Ukrainian language, shall be enrolled to the UCF according to the results of the entrance interview. The knowledge level shall be assessed at the following scale: high, sufficient and insufficient. The decision whether to accept candidate shall be made according to the results of the interview.

Foreign citizens, who do not speak Ukrainian, shall be accepted to Preparatory Department for Foreigners and Stateless Persons for preparation for entering into higher educational establishments of Ukraine. Preparatory Department for Foreigners and Stateless Persons conducts studies and issues certificates for entering higher educational establishments of Ukraine in accordance with curricula approved by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Terms of entrance exams (interviews) – August. Additional entrance exams (interviews)- from 22 September.

 

To enroll, please follow these simple steps:

Step 1. Apply for the invitation to study at the UCF.

1) Select your major/specialty you want to obtain degree in at the UCF. Find out corresponding program to be enrolled in.

2) Prepare copy of your passport first page.

3) Prepare copy of your education certificate with grades (translated into Ukrainian) obtained as well as academic transcript.

Step 2. Invitation Letter

International Relations Department will examine your documents and assess if the applicant’s grades are sufficient for a study of the major chosen at the faculty selected. In case of positive decision, the university will issue Letter of Invitation to apply for a long term visa for study at the University. You will need to present this invitation to the Ukrainian Embassy/Consulate for your home country to obtain a Student Visa. Please visit “Ukraine welcomes you” for more information.

  Go to Step 3 only when you have positive reply from the University!

Step 3. Prepare documents to bring with you for enrollment:

  1. Personal application form in prescribed format;
  2. A passport with the Ukrainian visa;
  3. Original and a notarized copy (in Ukrainian) of the document on previous education with transcripts;
  4. Copy of birth certificate;
  5. Health insurance, unless otherwise provided by international treaties of Ukraine;
  6. 6 photos sized 30×40 mm;
  7. Certificate of a foreign Ukrainian (if available);

NOTE:

  1. Documents, stated in subparagraphs 3-5 of this list, must be translated into the Ukrainian language with notarization of the translations.
  2. Translated documents must be certified in a country of their issue, in a way that is officially used in this country for such certification, and legalized by the appropriate foreign diplomatic institution of Ukraine, unless otherwise is stipulated by international agreements of Ukraine.

An academic year at UCF begins on September 1 and is completed in June next year. All international students will enter Ukraine within the period of time from August  to November. UCF international students that got a visa to Ukraine must inform Preparatory School for International Students about their arrival date.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR FOREIGNERS ENTERING UKRAINE

Visa

For getting an entrance visa it is necessary to appeal to the Consular Representative Office of Ukraine in the country with a corresponding statement and to put in the next documents:

– passport;

– original of invitation for studies;

– original and a notarized copy of the educational document (in Ukrainian) with received grades/marks in the studied disciplines;

– birth certificate (an original and notarized translating into the Ukrainian or Russian language);

– document about absence of HIV infection (an original and notarized translating into the Ukrainian or Russian language);

– medical certificate about the state of health, witnessed by the official organ of health protection of foreigner’s country given out not later than two months prior to departure on studies to Ukraine (an original and notarized translating into the Ukrainian or Russian language);

– round-trip ticket with the open date of return to motherland with the term of action not less than one year.

Registration of a temporary residence permit

Countries with a visa entry procedure

Citizens of countries with visa entry procedures arrive in Ukraine with a visa type D (D-13), received at the consular institution of Ukraine on the base of the invitation issued by the University. They are obliged to provide the International Office with a passport and documents necessary to apply for a temporary residence permit in Ukraine (hereinafter referred to as Posvidka) within five working days after arriving to the university, but not later than 30 days before the expiration of the visa.

Countries with a visa-free entry (Azerbaijan, Belarus, Armenia, Georgia, Moldova,  Uzbekistan)

Citizens of countries with visa-free entry may stay in Ukraine for up to 90 days in any 180-day period. Such foreigners are obliged to provide the International Office with a passport and documents necessary to apply for a posvidka within five working days upon arrival to the University, but not later than 30 days before the expiry of the established period of stay in Ukraine.

In order to prepare a complete package of documents for the further registration of posvidka, a foreigner or a stateless person who has arrived in Ukraine for the purpose of study shall submit the following documents to the International Office .

  • a passport with a type D-13 visa, unless otherwise provided by the legislation and international agreements of Ukraine;
  • notarized translation of passport;
  • a valid health insurance certificate.

 

Information for foreign citizens studying or working at the University

 Documents required for the production or extension of the validity period of the Permit for temporary residence in Ukraine (Issuance of temporary residence permit):

  1. Notarized translation of ALL (!!!) pages of the passport;
  2. Insurance (Ukrainian or certified translation of foreign insurance in Ukraine);
  3. Photo 3.5x4.5 cm (4 pieces);
  4. Paid receipts (contact the International Relations Department of the university or the website of the State Migration Service).

Foreign students, trainees or teachers must come to the Department of International Relations of the university within 5 days after crossing the state border of Ukraine or 30 days (at most) before the expiration of the passport (contact person – Viktoriia Kerb)

 

The order of registration, issue, exchange, cancellation, transfer, withdrawal, return to the state, invalidation and destruction of the temporary residence permit is approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated 25.04.2018, #322

Foreigners who have arrived in Ukraine for the purpose of study and received Posvidka are considered to be legally residing in Ukraine for the period of study. Posvidka is issued to foreigners and stateless persons who have reached the age of 16 years.

Posvidka is made in the form of a card containing a contactless electronic data storage device.

Documents for registration of Posvidka (including reissuance of the lost or stolen one) or its exchange shall be submitted personally by a foreigner or a stateless person to a state-owned enterprise belonging to the management of the SMS (State Migration Service) or a regional office of the SMS at the place of registration.

Documents for the issuance of Posvidka are submitted not later than 15 working days before the expiry of the established term of stay in Ukraine.
In case of occurrence of circumstances (events) after which Posvidka is the subject to exchange (except for the expiration of its validity), documents for its exchange shall be submitted within one month from the date of occurrence of such circumstances (events).

In case of expiration of the validity of Posvidka documents for its exchange may be submitted not later than 15 working days before the date of expiration of its validity. In such a case when Posvidka which needs to be exchanged is returned to the person and is turned in at the time of receipt of new Posvidka.

After obtaining Posvidka, the foreigner is obliged to submit it to International Office (Volodymyr Vernadsky str., Room 234) for registration of the place of residence in Ukraine within three working days.
